About this ebook
Young readers will meet courageous Rottweilers like Jake, a dog that rescued a woman who was being assaulted in a park. Jake’s natural instinct for protecting people led him to chase away the attacker and save the woman from harm. Of course, Rottweilers have always shown their bravery and willingness to help people. Starting in the 1100s, in the town of Rottweil, Germany, these dogs herded cattle for butchers. In later years, Rottweilers were trained for other jobs, like working as police dogs or assisting people living with disabilities. It seems that these energetic dogs are happiest when they are helping their human companions. Rottweiler: Super Courageous is a perfect read for dog lovers that includes amazing, real-life stories about these huge dogs while also recounting the breed’s history and how that determined the animal’s physical characteristics, personality, and suitability as a pet.
