About this ebook
Ann Kinnear's assignment sounds straightforward: board a cruise ship, contact the spirits of two passengers who jumped from the same stateroom balcony on two separate voyages, and confirm the room is safe for future guests. The cruise line would like this handled quietly.
What Ann finds is anything but quiet. One of the spirits is still there—and he's not grieving. He's waiting. Armed with an uncanny ability to find a person's loneliest corners and a terrifying capacity to turn despair into action, he has no intention of letting Ann leave the cabin the way she came.
Trapped on the balcony in a storm, locked out of her cabin, Ann must hold on to everything she has—including the most ordinary thread of connection—to resist being drawn into a deadly chain she didn't start and was never meant to survive.
Perfect for readers who love suspense steeped in gothic isolation, ghostly encounters, and the unnerving sense that a single wrong step could prove fatal.
