Matthew Swanson is the author of eight middle-grade novels and three picture books -- Everywhere, Wonder; Sunrise Summer; and Babies Ruin Everything -- all illustrated by his wife, Robbi Behr. Their book Life on the Moon was longlisted for the 2026 National Book Award. Their work has been featured in everything from The Drew Barrymore Show, to Entertainment Weekly, to Forbes, and they are known for their speaking engagements at places like Williams College and TEDx. They have been critically acclaimed with starred reviews, the ALA, Bank Street, and the CCBC, among others. In addition, they run The Busload of Books, a national literacy organization partnered with Build-a-Bear, which brings books, bears, and literacy advocacy to under-served schools across the United States.
