Feels Like the First Time is the second installment of Marina Adair’s Destiny Bay series and this is Ali and Hawk’s story – and my goodness, what a story it was. Ali has been in love with Hawk for the longest time, but Hawk is still has feelings for his ex-wife, Bridget (who just happens to be Ali’s sister), and doesn’t have a clue about Ali’s feelings – so they have remained in the friend zone for the longest time. Things change though when Hawk agrees to be Ali’s date to Bridget’s engagement party and sparks start to fly and Hawk finally sees that true love was right in front of him the entire time. There is a lot going on in this story, and I don’t want to spoil anything, but it does end happily and left me with a huge smile on my face. For the most part, I loved this story except that there was a lot of family drama going on and I felt like at times it overshadowed the love story that should have been the focus. I understand that for Ali and Hawk to get to where they needed to be in their relationship, the drama was important to the story, I just wished there could have been less. Regardless, this was a sweet romance that swept me away and tugged at my heart. All the characters were amazing, especially Marty (Ali’s father), who will forever have a place in my heart. I love with the small town feel of Destiny Bay, not only for its charm but also the hilarity of how everyone knows everyone’s business due to the gossip train. I absolutely love Ms. Adair’s writing style, as she has a knack of drawing me into the story, keeping me engaged and entertained the entire time. Feels Like the First Time is a lovely story of second chance love that left me feeling lighthearted and happy. Even though this is the second book of the series, it could be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the first book, Last Kiss of Summer, because it was also a great book and you are introduced to the characters that are mentioned in this story. Overall, Feels Like the First Time is a wonderful story filled with romance, friendship and a lesson in learning to forgive, set in a charming town with lovable characters. Check it out….you will not be disappointed!

Feels Like the First Time by Marina Adair.......10 FABULOUS STARS!!! I absolutely loved this fabulous story and fantastic characters. This story is full of sassy characters, bantering, fun, chemistry and family drama, which is what we grow to love from Marina Adair. Ali is the perfect heroine beautiful, strong, sassy and caring. Hawk the perfect hero he is a hot former pro hockey player, alpha male, sweet and so caring. These two are so fun together, but there is a problem Hawk is the ex husband of Ali's sister, did he pick the wrong sister. This is one book you will want to read, so make sure you pick this one up. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Fantastic second book in this series! It's a friends to lovers story with a bit of a twist. Ali and Hawk have known each other a long time. She had a huge crush on him when she was younger but then he started dating and later married her sister Bridget. Everything was going well until an injury ended not only his NHL career but his marriage as well. He's happily back in Destiny Bay, living next door to Ali and trying to put his past behind him and trying hard not to follow through on his attraction to Ali. A fight he's having a hard time with. Ali grew up to be a sexy, fun woman and her devotion to family warms his heart. Then they get caught up in a fake relationship scheme and everything begins to change! Definitely a book for the must read list. I highly recommend it.
