About this ebook
What do you do when your boring real life . . . doesn’t live up to your amazing virtual reality?
“Mancusi believably captures the hopes, disappointments, and awkwardness of high school life.”—Booklist
Meet Allora: beautiful elfin princess with magical powers—aka Maddy. In real life, Maddy’s existence is all but magical. Her parents split and now she’s stuck in a small town at a new school. Sometimes it’s enough to retreat into her manga art, but when she gets the Fields of Fantasy online computer game for her birthday, she knows she’s found the one place she can be herself.
In the game world, Maddy can have a perfect life. But is it enough to escape her real-life problems, or will she find a way to make her real world just as amazing as her virtual one?

I read this book just so that I could get some reading points in school. Once I acutely read and got into the book I realised that Maddy and I are so similar. Like she's me and I'm her. This book is a CRAZY, GREAT, MUST READ book. If you don't I may cry.

About the author
Mari Mancusi used to wish she could become a vampire back in high school. But she ended up in another blood sucking profession—journalism—instead. Today she works as a television news producer for the NBC station in Boston and has won two Emmys for her work. As if writing and TV producing weren't enough to keep her busy, Mari also enjoys snowboarding, clubbing, shopping, 80s music, and her favorite guilty pleasure—video games. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and two dogs.
