Not bad. It is the usual bodyguard/protectee story, where they both cross personal and professional boundaries while hiding away from possible threats. But typically, the bodyguard had misgivings for crossing that line and the usual emotional baggage that kept him away from serious relationships. That reluctant attitude made the girl emotionally distant and their relationship if there was one, reach a stalemate. The guy was a living, breathing robotic terminator, good to have as protection but not to have relationships with. But in fairness to him, all of his actions had been to protect her, protect her from the bad guys, protect her from himself. He is the kind of character that would be a very good friend to have, dependable loyal and true. Kudos to the women who understands them, but love them anyways. Damage goods and all. All throughout, the story itself has a dry vibe to it, not a lot of humor, definitely not the kind that makes you snort in sudden hilarity, in the middle of fascinated readings.
