Cailyn, Israel, and Roman are adjusting to life after the events of The Kink Brothers. They’re trying to regain a sense of routine, even as work and personal pressures build around them. But change arrives faster than they expect.

A new client hands the two detectives a case involving a string of hit-and-runs. The investigation turns personal when the driver begins targeting them. At the same time, Roman is forced to confront an unexpected pregnancy that adds new strain to their already complicated lives.

Before they can process any of it, Israel disappears. With a hurricane approaching, Roman and Cailyn have only a narrow window to find him—and the cost of failure is final.
