Born and raised in Lincoln Park, Melanie Ann Apel believes there is probably no better place to live in Chicago than this busy, something-on-every-street-corner neighborhood. A freelance writer of more than 30 non-fiction titles for children and young adults, Melanie brings a perspective and energy to this book that could only come from a Lincoln Park native.
