About this ebook

Vivian McKay loved her life in the States, but she’s finding a freedom in London she can’t deny. She’s studying and working with a mentor at McKay-Taggart and Knight. It’s exciting and fills something inside her, especially the covert ops work with MI6. She’s learning the art of espionage and intelligence work but from the safe confines of a comfy desk.

Until a mission goes wrong and she finds herself in the middle of a dangerous game she has no idea how to play.

Malcolm Mays spent a lot of time getting shot at in various parts of the world as a member of British Special Forces. After being forced to retire due to injuries, he signs on at McKay-Taggart and Knight. It’s a job for now while he finds a way to get back to where he belongs. He’ll make some money, heal and decide on how to spend the rest of his life. What he didn’t count on was meeting Vivian. She’s too young for him. Not merely in age but in experience. And yet he can’t stop thinking about her.

When Vivian’s life is threatened, Malcolm finds himself at a crossroads that could lead to happiness or the greatest danger he’s ever encountered.

4.25 stars. This story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, steamy to spicy, action focused, BDSM, second chance contemporary romance between Vivian, the female submissive psychologist lead raised in a BDSM spy family and wanting to extend her horizons, and Malcolm, the male dominant spy/ex-government agent lead, retired from government duties due to loss of a leg. I enjoyed that this story stood alone, as the beginning of a new series, but is integrated in the author’s exisiting world.

Big Girls Don’t Spy is book 1 in the Masters and Mercenaries:Global Domination series by Lexi Black and what a start! One scorching night begins Vivian and Malcom’s connection that spans across the pond. Filled with suspense, mission going wrong, age gap, mental and emotional baggage, and so much more…can’t wait for the next book in this series! Don’t miss this series! I voluntarily read a copy of this book from Valentine PR. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

While this is a new start to a new story arc, we are finally getting to know characters we have heard about for so long! We also get some familiar faces, and more importantly, we get all sorts of clues for upcoming couples <3 This is Vivian’s story, and Mal’s story, and while his baggage is apparent, hers is little more subtle. They have insane chemistry, they have crazy banter, and they have all the reasons mapped out while they shouldn’t be together. None of that overrides their connection
