That Affair at "The Cedars"

A tea party is in progress on the lawn at "The Cedars" when a shot is heard, and Raymond Austin is found dead in the library, gun in hand. Suicide is the comfortable verdict, but Peter Clancy, returned from Secret Service duty in the war, has other ideas. He quickly discovers that nearly everyone in the neighborhood has a motive for the crime, and must smoke out the culprit before he can cover his tracks. My favorite sort of mystery -- set in the 20's, in an elegant house, among the idle rich.
