An excellent view into the struggles of Aboriginal Australians. Struggles between men and women, fathers and daughter. There are a lot of other plot points too that are extremely interesting such as the parallel between the professor and the narrators father. She revered the professor but despises her father. Through the narration style of the book, it becomes clear that the two men are not actually that different. This is a wonderful book, bringing an intense array of emotions. Readers should be ready for a wild ride, from start to finish, as the stories and worlds of the individual people get slowly pulled together.
