Overcoming Grief is a practical and emotional guide designed to support people experiencing the pain of losing a loved one. Its purpose is to provide support, understanding, and tools to help navigate the grieving process in a healthy and hopeful way.
Through reflections, exercises, coping strategies, and practical advice, this book helps readers understand their emotions, accept the reality of the loss, honor the memory of the deceased, and find the strength to move forward.
This book does not seek to erase the pain or accelerate the healing process, but rather to offer companionship during the most difficult times, reminding us that grief is a natural expression of love and that it is possible to rebuild our lives without forgetting those who will always hold a special place in our hearts.
If you have lost a mother, a father, a child, a relative, a friend, or any significant person in your life, you will find in these pages a source of comfort, guidance, and hope to transform suffering into a legacy of love and memories that will last forever.
Because healing doesn't mean forgetting, but learning to live carrying the love of our loved ones in our hearts.
Víctor Montás Pereyra is the collaborator and driving force behind this work, created from a deeply personal experience marked by the loss of his mother, Losvania Pereyra (1951–2025). Inspired by the love, values, and lessons he received from her throughout her life, he decided to transform his grieving process into a message of support and hope for others going through similar situations.
His mother's passing allowed him to intimately understand the emotional challenges that accompany the loss of a loved one. Through this book, he shares reflections, tools, and lessons that seek to offer comfort to those facing the pain of absence, reminding them that the love of those who have departed remains alive in memories, shared experiences, and the legacy they leave in our lives.
More than a book about loss, this work is a tribute to a mother's unconditional love and to the strength that arises when we learn to honor her memory as we continue on our path.
With this project, Víctor hopes that each reader will find understanding, hope, and the certainty that, even in the most difficult moments, it is possible to heal, grow, and move forward without forgetting those who will always live in our hearts.
