A story of forbidden love in the gossip driven Regency era. She is to be betrothed to the older brother of the man she finds she is in love with. He has been taken by her forever. This first book in The Devon Legacy series was a compelling and captivating sister best friend, love triangle historical romance. It was exceptional and well written with drama, action, past scandal, secrets, intrigue, humor, wit, friendships, family, societal expectations, emotional issues, and other twists that were all very entertaining.
