The Four Realms series continues with Sky's Edge, the story featuring Catla Truelock and Tanyn the new King of Sky's Edge. Now if, like me, you can't put a Kristen Ashley book down, you're in for an absolute treat! The relationship between Catla and Tanyn doesn't get off to the best start under the circumstances and there were some moments when I expected Catla to 'go full demon' and leave Tanyn in tatters (as if she could)! However, during my reading, and re-reading, of Night’s Fall in preparation for this release I wasn't sure that I even liked Catla. To me, she is an entitled snob that rarely considers other beings and thinks the world revolves around her. This just proves how immensely skilled this author is. Any previous opinions about Catla go sailing through the window when we truly get to know her. I was completely wrong in my judgement of Catla and was totally staggered by the u-turn my feelings about her underwent. Of course the mysterious goings on that played out during Night’s Fall continue and become more complex and all encompassing during Sky's Edge BUT we continue to be left with more questions than answers. Ultimately though, you'll be swept along in the romance between King Tanyn and Catla as it develops and grows into what mere mortals can only dream about. The overarching highlight of this story though has to be the character development of both Tanyn and Catla. They undergo a serious change both as we get to know them better AND as they get to know each other. Simply amazing!

Ah, I was moments away from tears for so much of this book! There were happy tears, sad tears, frustrated tears, and heartbreaking tears. Catla and Tanyn were perfect, they were perfect in who they were, they were perfect in what they felt, they were perfect in their compatibility. They were the ying to the others yang. And they were constantly sparking off each other, in every way, all the time. They felt deeply, truly, and honestly. They loved wholly, completely, and with their entire being. T

About the author

Kristen Ashley is the New York Times bestselling author of over one hundred romance novels. She’s a hybrid author, publishing titles independently and traditionally, with books translated into fourteen languages and millions of copies sold.

Kristen’s novel, Law Man, won the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award for best Romantic Suspense. Her independently published title Hold On was nominated for RT Book Reviews best Independent Contemporary Romance and her traditionally published title Breathe was nominated for best Contemporary Romance. Kristen’s titles Motorcycle Man, The Will, Ride Steady (which won the Reader’s Choice award from Romance Reviews) and The Hookup all made the final rounds for Goodreads Choice Awards in the Romance category.

Although Kristen is super proud of all those accolades, she’s just happy that—after years of writing with no publisher or agent interested in what she did—she now has a loyal readership who, on social media, she can share recipes with and regale with stories of her bent toward being a klutz.

Kristen was born in Gary and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, but since leaving her home state (Hoosier by birth, Boilermaker by the grace of God!), she’s lived in Denver and the West Country of England. All of these places were home, and she’s put them in her books with all the love she still has for them.

Now, after years of cold, misty days in the UK (that she still misses, along with cream teas, custard and battered sausages), Kristen resides in almost constant sun. She writes at her desk in Phoenix or among the deer and javelina in her little cabin up in the Arizona mountains, regretting often that she forgets to put the sunshade over her windshield, thus her car often doubles as a human oven. Even so, she loves calling all the sun, saguaro and beautiful mountains home.
