Tokoh utama di manga ini Midoriya Izuku, bocah nerd jelang lulus SMP yg bertekad jd superhero meskipun gak punya super power apapun. Iya, di dunia sini, 80% manusia lahir dengan "quirk" atau bakat bawaan super, macam seri Heroes atau X-men atau The Gifted atau semacam itulah. Keinginan ini tampaknya mustahil, sampai suatu ketika Izuku nekad menyelamatkan All Might, superhero terhebat zaman now, dari super villain yg menjebaknya. All Might lalu menawarkan memberikan sebuah sumber kekuatan, namun jalan panjang dan berliku untuk menjadi superhero harus diperjuangkan sendiri oleh Izuku. Maka dimulailah kisah Izuku ini. Tahap pertama: ujian masuk sekolah superhero elite, Hero Academia, Yūei High School. Not bad lah untuk pembuka seri, namun gak (belum) ada yg mengezutkan. Seperti yg diharapkan untuk cerita from-zero-to-hero biasa. Perjuangan Izuku baru dimulai. Lanjuuuut....
