About this ebook
Twelve men, one land, two reports — and a generation's choice. This Scripture-first guide to Numbers 13-14 and Deuteronomy 1:19-40 walks through the story of the twelve spies sent to search Canaan forty days: ten brought an evil report of giants, but Joshua and Caleb believed God could give the land. Twelve chapters cover the command to search, the twelve tribal rulers, the forty days in Canaan, the fruit of the land, the evil report, the arithmetic of fear, the different spirit of Joshua and Caleb, the rebellion at Kadesh, Moses' intercession, the forty-year verdict, and Caleb's mountain at eighty-five. Every chapter ends with a practice for the week and a prayer addressed to the Father through Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior — Son of God and Son of Man — by the Holy Spirit who alone turns fear into faith.
