John thought his life was perfect—until a mandatory genetic test brands him D-positive, part of a feared minority blamed for humanity’s darkest epidemic. Overnight, his promotion vanishes, his fiancée abandons him, and even his own family begins to fracture under the weight of social stigma.
With nothing left on Earth, John boards a starship bound for New Australia, a dangerous frontier world where the exiled and unwanted have built a new society. There, in the independent nation of Andania, the genetically condemned can finally live free.
But freedom comes at a price.
Caught between political conspiracies, violent territorial conflict, and the lingering fear of a deadly plague, John must decide who he really is—and what he’s willing to fight for. Along the way, an unexpected connection with a young crew officer named Dana forces him to confront the one thing he thought he had already lost forever: hope.
