About this ebook

A disgraced soldier. A fearless street thief. A tiny dragon with a very big attitude.

Colonel Gideon Quinn was once a hero of the Colonial Corps—until he was betrayed, branded a traitor, and condemned to die beneath the murderous suns of the Morton Barrens. Years later, an unexpected offer of freedom gives him the chance to clear his name.

But Gideon isn’t interested in redemption.

With his sharp-clawed draco companion Elvis at his side, he takes ‘ship to Nike City, where brutal crimes and political conspiracies collide. His mission is simple: find the man who destroyed his life and make him pay.

Instead, he discovers a courageous young thief hunted by her own monster, a city poisoned by corruption, and a conspiracy that threatens the fragile peace of an entire world.

Now Gideon must fight a secret war of assassins, spies, mercenaries, and shadowy forces determined to bury the truth. To survive, he’ll have to trust the very people he never wanted to need.

Welcome to the planet Fortune, where tech is low, treason high, and heroes unlikely.

Soldier of Fortune launches The Fortune Chronicles, a character-driven science-fantasy adventure filled with action, found family, reluctant heroes, airships, humor, mystery, and one small draco with an outsized personality.

Perfect for fans of The Mandalorian, Firefly, and Jack Reacher—with a little more heart, a little more chaos, and one unforgettable draco.

Really, really good!!! Original story, wonderful vibrant characters, and a plot line that doesn't lay out the backstory in the first chapter. It is revealed naturally, as the story develops. I don't want to give anything away, just know that it's definitely worth your time. Make sure you have a couple of hours to commit because it certainly is that good !!
