About this ebook

A woman walks alone at the foot of Mount Sengoku. A man appears, saying he’s been waiting for her, and invites her to a nearby village. Definitely worth a read (or a few to really grasp what's happening). It's an interesting direction and personally I enjoyed it, but I don't necessarily love it. I can see where it might not be for everyone, but I can also understand the appeal of it and why people do love it. It's got some good imagery to spook you in classic Junji Ito style and that's what makes it pretty memorable, but the story can be hit or miss depending on your own views/interpretations of it.

Great art as usual, just not my favorite plot. Ito seems to convey amazing feeling through the art, while the writing falls flat. Still worth a read.
