Appointed as supposedly financial guardian but did not have the financial means to raise the child, meanwhile the appointed caregiver uprooted herself, lost her viable income, scrambled through finding means to support herself and the child, add in a grieving child that has emotional issues to deal with while the financial guardian does everything he can think of to be an obstacle and headache instead of being the problem solver. Criticizing the ways she raise the child instead of helping, blaming the female population for the ex that had the audacity to betray him. The ex that until now is still manipulating him. Why appoint a financial guardian when there is no money to guard? The fall of perfection knocked out of its pedestal all due to pride. Well, that was their beginning, what happens next remains to be seen. But if you came here to read to take your stress away, this book will guarantee to add to your stress right of the bat.

Cassie Reynolds uproots her life to take care of her niece Ella after her sister and brother in law are killed in a plane crash. Ty Barnett is considered a saint around town and was appointed as Ella's financial guardian. The two clash over almost every detail but both just want the best for Ella. I loved every aspect of this book. It was well thought out and full of emotion. I'm definitely looking forward to more in this series.
