Unaware that this is the island his uncle bought, they begin to survive in the wild. During the auction, it had been stated that the island was free of predatory or dangerous animals.
For the first few months, the nephew and the ballet instructor see no dangerous animals on the island. However, complications arise following the arrival of a Black man whom they rescue from natives who had landed on the island seeking human prey. Bears, tigers, and crocodiles appear. One night, wild animals overrun their shelter. The book concludes with intriguing surprises, and the mystery behind the terrifying events on the island is unraveled at the very last moment...
