A good start, but overall lacking. There are some nice coops in here and it would be good to have more detail about them. This is more of a book of anecdotes about the quirks of various owners or stories about a local farmer's market. While that might be of interest (in some other book or over a cup of coffee?), it really distracts from the topic of the book. It would be really helpful to know more detail about how to actually build the coop. Some of the drawings are helpful, but others quite vague. I find myself wanting now to get a book with plans to build a coop (not this book).

Completely useless sample a single page of a coop design would have been better.
