“If Jesus has already finished the work, why am I still living in defeat?”
In The Battle of the Age: Walking in Victory in an Evil World, Apostle Michael Orokpo confronts this question head-on. With a fiery yet deeply pastoral voice, he exposes the intense spiritual war raging in three critical areas of the believer’s life:
The battle of the flesh – where old patterns, lusts, and hidden sins try to drag you back into slavery even after the cross.
The battle for your health – where symptoms, fear, and reports challenge the healing Jesus already paid for.
The battle against poverty and lack – where systems, mindsets, and personal choices work to keep you small, afraid, and distracted from your kingdom assignment.
This book is not a theological argument; it is a practical manual for enforcing Christ’s finished work in your daily experience. Through rich teaching, honest examples, and interactive devotional sections, you will learn how to:
Shut the doors that keep fertilizing your weaknesses.
Reckon yourself truly dead to sin and alive to God.
Activate the law of the Spirit of life and walk in real freedom.
Contend for your health with wisdom, faith, and bold confession.
Break free from the grip of poverty and receive God’s power to get wealth as a faithful steward, not a slave to money.
Each chapter ends with reflection questions, prayers, and “From the Pastor’s Heart” insights that make the message personal and practical. You won’t just read about victory—you’ll be guided to step into it.
If you are tired of theory, tired of pretending, and ready to see the life of Christ manifest in your character, your body, and your finances, this book is for you.
You are not just a survivor of this age.
In Christ, you are a warrior in it.
Apostle (Dr.) Michael Orokpo is a prophetic teacher of God’s Word, a revivalist, and an apostolic voice raised by God to call a generation back to holiness, intimacy, and spiritual dominance in Christ. Born in Otukpa, Idoma land, Benue State, Nigeria, his journey with God started early; he began sensing God’s call as a child and gave his first prophetic word at a young age.
Though he once dreamed of a career in the military, a defining encounter with God redirected his life completely toward full-time ministry. Academically, he holds a background in Chemistry up to the doctoral level, reflecting the depth and structure he also brings to the pulpit. He has also pursued specialized biblical and apologetics training that sharpened his doctrinal foundations.
Before founding his own work, Apostle Orokpo served faithfully under several ministries and became widely known through his time with Remnant Christian Network, where he ministered as a resident preacher, Bible seminary lecturer, and revivalist. Many of the messages that stirred hunger across the world—on prayer, consecration, spiritual warfare, and the realities of the spirit realm—were recorded in this season and shared broadly online.
He is the founder of Encounter Jesus Ministries International (EJMI), headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria. EJMI exists to help believers come into the experiential knowledge of God, grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ, and walk in their eternal ordinations. The ministry emphasizes intimacy with the Holy Spirit, sound doctrine, personal transformation, and kingdom-level dominion, raising consecrated believers who can enforce Christ’s victory in every sphere of life.
Beyond the pulpit, Apostle Michael is a mentor to many—online and in person. Through teaching, mentoring programs, conferences, and media content, he has helped thousands of believers worldwide deepen their prayer lives, sharpen their spiritual discernment, and break free from cycles of sin and defeat. His preaching style is marked by fiery passion and strong prophetic edge, yet remains deeply pastoral and practical, constantly pressing for holiness, alignment, and obedience rather than mere excitement.
He is married to Pastor (Mrs.) Osenaga Orokpo, a minister of the gospel and worshipper. Together, they embody a kingdom partnership committed to building Christ-centered homes and raising a generation that loves God, honors His presence, and carries His fire into every sector of society.
At his core, Apostle Michael Orokpo is a man of one longing: that believers would not settle for theory, but walk in the tangible realities of God. He lives to see men and women become burning altars, holy vessels, healed bodies, and empowered stewards—warriors who, in this present evil age, prove by their lives that Jesus truly finished the work.
