This book is fantastic. It will equip you to make sense of (and have a greater awareness for) how we as human beings relate to one another through times of stress and changing life circumstances. Jenny has also incorporated not a few stories from her professional experience, which makes this book easy to read and deeply relatable. Whether you struggle in your relationships or not, you will appreciate this book for equipping you not only to understand yourself and the relationships around you, but also for counselling friends and family should those times arise—it is a book you will find yourself reading and rereading to these ends.

Jenny Brown is founder and director of the Family Systems Institute in Sydney, Australia, where she has a counselling practice and trains mental health professionals and organisations. She has earned academic awards at the University of Sydney and Columbia University New York, and completed years of post-graduate education in systems approaches to counselling at Relationships Australia, Sydney; the Family Institute of Westchester, New York; and the Tavistock and Portman in London.
