Jenna, front-end manager of her family’s island market, is initially irritated when she finds her porch blocked by new neighbour, Simon’s many boxes. However, she soon relents, showing Simon & his delightfully dynamic and often mischievous dog, Gus interesting spots on the island. Ms Faye’s fluent writing style & steady plot progression includes fun aspects (including constantly disappearing items) & a few nerve-wracking scenes ensuring that interest levels are easily sustained.

Simon was looking to escape the public that hated the ending to his last book and find his muse for the next one when he rented the duplex next to Jenna. They don’t get off on the best footing and I had a feeling early on who was behind their disappearing things. The more time they spend together with the help of his adventurous dog the closer they become until hurts from their past get in the way. I felt for Jenna working for the family business and not feeling heard.

I've read a lot of books written by Jennifer Faye; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the second book in the Adams Family of Bluestar Island Series; it can be read as a stand-alone book. The story is about Jenna & Simon.
