The book was kind of slow, not a great deal of action. I didn't feel a connection with the characters. It was a bit cheesy, with most of the characters talking like a 1970's sitcom. Overall boring.

I was hoping for some imaginative character development out some diabolical twists of fate. Instead the only cliche missing was the dark and stormy night, though that was there. Sadly, I read it to the end.

A good, strong novel. In my opinion, better than the Hunger Games, but it just didn't have a good ending. And good endings make or break great stories.
