Both stories were unrealistic. There wasn't proper closure in the first one. It should have expanded on the consequences to the judge. In the second one, the defense's strategy would only serve to make the defendant look even more guilty. James Pattersen should brush up on his John Grisham and Micheal Connelly. He clearly has no understanding of how the judicial system works.

I liked both stories, however, I found myself very frustrated with both of the women lawyers. They were both SO consumed with the law, and proving that they were right. These are intelligent women, but they got themselves into situations that just didn't sit well with me. They should've been smart enough to recognize how "dirty" the law was in these towns, and played the game a bit different... especially the Jailhouse Lawyer. Suzie

Two for one with Jailhouse Lawyer. Both stories are based on the underdog defense attorney and their fight for justice. Good read.
