3.75stars- BLACKTHORN by JT is a contemporary, adult, gothic, fantasy thriller focusing on museum curator Dr. Maven Blackthorn, and billionaire heir to Croft Pharmaceuticals Ronan Croft.The premise is dark, dramatic, edgy and gritty but there resolution leaves many questions and plot points unanswered resulting in some confusion as to the what, how and why-was everything real or was it all the result of something else:the rekindling romance is limited but unconventional.

Wow! Geissinger takes us on a heart-pounding journey that captures your imagination and never lets go! Maven Blackthorn returns home for her grandmothers funeral with her daughter, Bea. She is staying with her eccentric aunts, who the whole town is afraid of. Except for dark and dangerous Ronan Croft, who was Maven's first love before she fled after he made a mistake. He is determined to right a wrong, and win her back at any cost. If you like dark, gothic romantasy stories, this is a must read.

This is a fantastic story. It is such a dark story. I love the way the author builds suspense. The world building is beautifully done. The characters are so rich are dark. I loved getting down in the dirt on this one. The plot kept me guessing until the very end. I absolutely adored this!
