Vintage & Erotic Photography from old Italy
Wilhelm Plüschow (also Guglielmo Plüschow or misleadingly von Plüschow; * August 18, 1852 in Wismar; + January 3, 1930 in Berlin) was a German photographer who lived temporarily in Italy and was best known for his nude photographs. His works are similar to those of his cousin Wilhelm von Gloeden and were often attributed to him. Initially, he lived and worked in Sicily. Then in the early 1890s, against the backdrop of the poor economic situation in the former Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Plüschow moved to Rome to further devote himself to his work. After several scandals, Plüschow left Italy in 1910 and from then on lived again in Germany.
