Magical Explorer (light novel): Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim

Unfortunately the series is starting to get really boring. The idea that he enters the world as a side character was interesting at first, but the whole "I'm going to make sure the game runs smoothly for the MC and the heroines and change everything but then get confused when this world isn't like the game" is getting really really annoying. I also don't like how there's absolutely no progress with any of the relationships and the trope of "I'm an older teenager who still doesn't understand normal emotions and obvious signals and they can't like me I'm the sode character" is aggravating and trite at best. By the third book you would think the characters would have developed more but they have not and its making the books a chore to get through. That being said the premise is inviting and outside of the super boring dungeon dive I do find the story interesting. I will continue with the next book in the hopes things get better.

Good addition but the whole "I'll win because I have friends who support me" was so cliche and cringy I had to walk away for a break. Other then that overused and childish trope I enjoyed the book and will continue with the next one.

If you want ecchi slice of life with dungeon diving, where our main character is a shy pervert who will not act on his impulses, then this series is for you. This is my warm, fuzzy read. :-)
