About this ebook

An American girl finds her prince in this hilarious royal romance inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton.

"Full of love and humor, and delicious in too many ways." —Emma Straub, New York Times bestselling author This Time Tomorrow

American Bex Porter was never one for fairy tales. Her twin sister Lacey was always the romantic, the one who daydreamed of being a princess. But it's adventure-seeking Bex who goes to Oxford and meets dreamy Nick across the hall—and Bex who finds herself accidentally in love with the heir to the British throne.

Nick is wonderful, but he comes with unimaginable baggage: a complicated family, hysterical tabloids tracking his every move, and a public that expected its future king to marry a Brit.

On the eve of the most talked-about wedding of the century, Bex looks back on how much she's had to give up for true love ... and exactly whose heart she may yet have to break.

"Hysterical" —Entertainment Weekly

I absolutely LOVED this book and couldn't put it down. And that's really saying a lot because I have a difficult time reading. But I was extremely disappointed with the ending. I won't say what happens but you get invested in these characters and the big, main event only for it to end in a giant cliffhanger (which is foreshadowed throughout). I really, really hope the author will write a sequel (The Royal Us?) and give us a satisfied ending by starting exactly where this one left off.

I loved this fresh take on a romance between a royal and a commoner. It was a great story. I read it one sitting and devoured the book. I loved how Bex and Nick's relationship was shown with all the imperfections too. It wasn't just hearts and roses. They had to work on being a couple and making their relationship work. The book made me laugh and cry. I loved the complex characters. I would love to read more about Bex & Nick and Freddie too. These authors are new to me, but I will be checking out their other books.

I really enjoy their blog and this book lived up to my expectations. Though I have a few quibbles, it kept me enthralled in the story of Bex and Nick. It also took me back to my own year studying in England (though not at Oxford and not with a royal, alas!).
