A Journey of Devotion and Perseverance

The Complete Kakoulides New Testament represents the culmination of many years of labor, loss, perseverance, and devotion to Scripture. This translation began with a sincere desire, endured through hardship, and grew through continuous refinement. My first attempt was lost when the home I was renting burned down, destroying my laptop and all my work. A second attempt progressed further—six epistles and four chapters of Matthew—before it was halted by my late wife's battle with cancer and the season of grief that followed.

By God's grace, I was eventually able to resume the work. Each edition reflects not only improvements in translation but also the spiritual and scholarly growth that accompanied the process.

Translation Approach and Sources

Designed as both a translation and a study Bible, this work incorporates extensive notes drawn from a wide array of historical and theological resources:

Jewish Sources: Including the Mishnah and the Talmud.

Scriptural Context: Extensive Old Testament quotations to illuminate New Testament references.

Historical Voices: Insights from Early Church Fathers, Reformers, and ancient writers.

Textual Scholarship: Consultation of multiple Greek editions—including the Textus Receptus, Elzevir, Tischendorf, Westcott-Hort, and modern critical texts—alongside comparative English translations like the WEB, KJV, Young’s, ASV, Darby, and others.

The included notes are apologetic in nature, explaining the linguistic and theological reasoning behind specific rendering choices (such as the rendering of Jesus with the Father in John 17:3).

Focus of the Sixth Edition

For this sixth and final major revision, the focus of expansion has been intensely concentrated on enriching the Gospels and Acts with newly translated early Christian, Jewish, and ancient sources. Retaining the strong foundational framework established in the Fifth Edition for the remainder of the New Testament, this edition offers readers a streamlined yet deeply comprehensive study tool.
