Why did early man believe in God or gods? Were they taught? Instinct is knowing what to do without being taught. Early man had such instincts, and we possess the same instincts today. Evolution cannot place instinct into the mind of an infant of any species. What placed them there? Perhaps a Caring Creator planted these basic instincts? Why did ancient mankind believe in a supreme being, and believe that this supreme being created all things? How does a newborn from any mammalian species know to take the nipple for milk? How does a baby antelope know to run from danger? And why does man believe in God? Perhaps surprising to many, the answers are in the Bible. First, the Bible claims to contain the account of the origins of all life, and that the first man knew God. Second, man sinned and caused God to change His creation. Third, further sin caused God to kill all life except that which He saved on a large ark. And fourth, after the Great Flood, those alive scattered across the earth. The people remembered the stories about God and the Great Flood, but the stories changed over time. Could these claims by the author be true? That is what we will investigate.
