Trapunto By Machine

Trapunto gives us raised motifs that add textural richness to the finished quilt. This book will open new doors to your way of thinking about Trapunto. Hari teaches you time-saving techniques in six easy-to-follow lessons; Stipple Quilting, Machine Trapunto, Backtracking over Stitches, Shading with Stitches, Two-Layer Trapunto, and Shadow Trapunto.

More than twenty glorious patterns are featured, including Iridescent Iris, Susan B. Anthony, April's Promise, and Spring Quintet! And best of all, Hari will show you how to do trapunto quilting by machine without having to make little openings in the back of your quilt.

"Hari Walner is literally adding a new dimension to machine quilting. Best of all, the projects are so well written and illustrated that you will feel like Hari is in your sewing room providing knowledge, giving friendly encouragement, and reminding you to stop for tea!" —Marti Michell, author of Learn to Machine Quilt in Just One Weekend

"I like the unusual techniques, I like the quilts, and most of all, I like Hari's attitude; machine quilting should uplift, like trapunto." —Robbie Fanning, coauthor of The Complete Book of Machine Quilting, Second Edition
