About this ebook

Could the story of mankind be far older than we have previously believed? Using tools as varied as archaeo-astronomy, geology, and computer analysis of ancient myths, Graham Hancock presents a compelling case to suggest that it is.

Graham Hancock is featured in Ancient Apocalypse, a Netflix original docuseries.

“A fancy piece of historical sleuthing . . . intriguing and entertaining and sturdy enough to give a long pause for thought.”—Kirkus Reviews

In Fingerprints of the Gods, Hancock embarks on a worldwide quest to put together all the pieces of the vast and fascinating jigsaw of mankind’s hidden past. In ancient monuments as far apart as Egypt’s Great Sphinx, the strange Andean ruins of Tihuanaco, and Mexico’s awe-inspiring Temples of the Sun and Moon, he reveals not only the clear fingerprints of an as-yet-unidentified civilization of remote antiquity, but also startling evidence of its vast sophistication, technological advancement, and evolved scientific knowledge.

A record-breaking number one bestseller in Britain, Fingerprints of the Gods contains the makings of an intellectual revolution, a dramatic and irreversible change in the way that we understand our past—and so our future.

And Fingerprints of God tells us something more. As we recover the truth about prehistory, and discover the real meaning of ancient myths and monuments, it becomes apparent that a warning has been handed down to us, a warning of terrible cataclysm that afflicts the Earth in great cycles at irregular intervals of time—a cataclysm that may be about to recur.

“Readers will hugely enjoy their quest in these pages of inspired storytelling.”—The Times (UK)

It is highly speculative and based in many suppositions not well proved. Mr. Hancock's writing style makes the book readable but, at the same time, lacks substance in the long run. I don't like books that combine log reporting with the main topic. Traveling logs only added paragraphs, but not substance. The only main bullet out of this book is the idea of the existence of an advanced culture or civilization before ours. For sure, there was time for another civilization that had developed before our time. Another bullet to grant to Mr. Hancock is the idea of the need to search for catastrophic events in the past that could be repeating or occurring in cycles. Mr. Hancock declares himself violating Egyptian law by climbing the big pyramid after offering bribes to the custodians. Also, Mr. Hancock recognized that behind him, there is a team of researchers providing background and foundation to his claims. The idea about the Gyza pyramids and their relationship with the Orion's belt is not well proved and is kind of far-fetched. There is no doubt that ancient Egyptians were far more advanced than orthodoxy recognizes, and the proof is spread all over Egypt.

Lays out a great case for either a time line error or well you just need to read it and draw your own conclusion.

Graham questions everything, in the most positive way. He learns by questioning. He teaches by questioning. He poses his hypotheses in the form of questions. And he backs it all up with thorough research and undeniable truths that are literally carved in stone. Whatever legacy our epoch leaves behind when our time comes, books like this should be a part of the time capsule so these thoughts are more easily passed on to those who inhabit Earth next.
