About this ebook

The AI Fluency Method is a detailed, practical guide to Using Generative AI to Learn Any Language Faster for readers who want a clear path from understanding the topic to using it confidently in real situations. The book is designed as a structured learning companion rather than a shallow overview: it introduces the core ideas, explains why they matter, then develops them through realistic examples, guided practice, scenario-based explanations, and common mistakes to avoid. Readers are taken step by step from foundational concepts into everyday applications, with each chapter building on the previous one so the material feels progressive, usable, and easy to revisit. The main areas of focus include The AI Fluency Promise, Find Your Starting Line, Build Your AI Language Studio, The First Ten Prompts You Need, Speak Before You're Ready, Real-Life Roleplays: Travel and Daily Life, Mine Your Transcripts, The Correction Loop, Sound Surgery, Words That Stick, giving the book a concrete learning arc that moves from orientation and confidence-building to applied communication, problem solving, and independent practice. The writing style is direct, supportive, and accessible, making the book suitable for self-study, classroom reinforcement, professional development, or personal improvement. It emphasizes practical understanding over abstract theory, so readers can immediately connect the lessons to conversations, decisions, habits, and challenges they are likely to face outside the page. By the end of the book, readers should have not only a stronger grasp of the subject, but also a collection of repeatable strategies, useful language patterns, mental models, and practical routines they can continue applying after they finish reading.

About the author

Grace Perkiss is a language educator, polyglot, and writer who has spent more than a decade teaching English and Spanish to adult learners across four countries. Fluent in six languages and comfortable in several more, she built much of her own speaking ability the old-fashioned way—through classroom drills, penniless travel, and thousands of awkward café conversations—before discovering that generative AI could compress the most painful years of that journey into months. The AI Fluency Method grew out of her classroom experiments: as she piloted AI-powered conversation practice with her students, she watched hesitant beginners hold real dialogues within weeks and plateau students finally break through, and she began documenting the prompts and routines that consistently worked. Her work explores how artificial tools can be put in service of deeply human skills, and she writes and speaks regularly about the future of self-directed learning. Grace currently lives in Europe with her family and an ever-growing pile of half-finished language notebooks, and she practices something in a new language every single day.
