Classic Book for Today's Kids This cute, colorful graphic novel reintroduces this century old classic to today's youngsters. The simple story celebrates independence and self sufficiency in children and an appreciation of family. Older readers may find the story is too simple and the characters lack depth, but this is based on a chapter book for emergent readers. Kids who love adventure stories will enjoy this adaptation, and later, they may want to go back and read the original.
