About this ebook

Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.

Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire -- and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.

With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?

The Parasol Protectorate is a comedy of manners set in Victorian London: full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.

This boxed set includes the whole series: Soulless, Changeless, Blameless, Heartless, and Timeless.

A good premise, well written. The story flows and kept me reading; had to stop and read other books just so I could stretch out the time for reading them.

Love this series. I first found the author through her teen series and had to find these immediately. This series was written first, but the other happens in the same universe at an earlier historical time frame... So it doesn't really matter which you jump into first, it still works, and you'll probably love them if the description caught your attention

I love this series! Witty, sexy, and exciting all wrapped around the paranormal and a steampunk attitude. The author crackly masters the Victorian Era while splicing in her own sense of whimsy and intrigue. I purchased the series on a chance and still don't regret it as I continue to re-read and get drawn in with her story telling. I highly recommend this book to everyone because it has so much to offer all readers!
