A British war correspondent moves to New Zealand hoping to jettison the experiences and trauma of his years in war zones. Then to visiting Jordan and on to Jerusalem to contact a wayward character name Beni Levitz, and finally by devious means into Gaza itself. It is there that he finally meets the ghosts he has come in search of , but they are not what he has envisaged and overwhelmed by the revelation he realizes he own death is the next final step in his journey.
