This is a good, quick read but definitely feels like one of those "beach reads" or "waiting in the airport" books. Something to read when you're bored, but not something to invest in. I found the story enjoyable, but would have appreciated a slower paced mystery. This one is quick to get to the point and quick to solve the murder. Almost to the point of feeling unrealistic. It wasn't as immersive as it could have been and it didn't really give time for wondering "whodunnit". In fact, the big reveal felt a little forced and the whole reason for the murder felt out of place with the rest of the story. Overall, I'm not inclined to read anymore in this series and honestly found it to be a forgettable story.

I enjoyed this short story very much. I love that Kelly's Gram is a sprite ole' woman and the two do everything together almost. maybe Maxwell will see Kelly differently. I hope to continue the series sooner. a must read.

This was a succinct, tightly written story. I enjoyed it. The story was an enjoyable quick read. I didn't guess the ending witch was a nice surprise. I recommend it.
