About this ebook
Too bad the woman cast opposite him can’t stand him.
Gabe Sterling is brilliant, brooding, award-winning and one scandal away from watching his $200 million movie implode. His PR team has a solution: convince the world that Hollywood’s infamous “Mad Monk” has been tamed by a smart, sensible girlfriend.
Enter Dr. Chloe Bennett, a razor-sharp deep-sea marine biologist who would rather study creatures at the bottom of the ocean than spend five minutes with an overdramatic celebrity.
Unfortunately, her lab is sinking.
And Gabe’s team is offering $500,000 to save it.
The deal? Three months of fake dating. A few red carpets. Convincing chemistry. Absolutely no real feelings.
Easy.
Except Gabe is nothing like Chloe expected beneath all that tortured-artist nonsense. And Chloe may be the first person who sees the man hiding behind his carefully constructed performances.
Soon, staged kisses linger too long. Forced proximity becomes dangerously comfortable. And their fake chemistry starts feeling very, very real.
But when a leaked recording makes Chloe look like a gold digger and threatens to destroy everything they’ve built, Gabe retreats behind the one thing that has always protected him:
A performance.
Now they’ll have to decide whether falling in love was just another part of the act...
...or the first real thing either of them has ever dared to believe in.
The Method to His Madness is a witty, high-banter contemporary romantic comedy packed with fake dating, forced proximity, celebrity × scientist, opposites attract, reversed grumpy × sunshine, he falls first, sizzling chemistry, and a swoony happily ever after.
