Epaminondas: Classic Children's Tales and Fairy Tales by EdconPublishing.com

This was our bedtime story every night when we visited my grandparents. Which until she died too soon was one week a year when we returned stateside It is a cherished childhood memory. While I own a more recent edition, I wish I had Grandma's edition. As a child, it was just a delightful story about a young boy with no common sense. Every night I hoped he would figure it out. Such was the mind of an innocent child.

This was a favorite story that my grandma told me in my childhood. However, grandma always added one thing that I loved at the end. After Epaminondas stepped in all those pies she once again told him that he didn't have the sense he was born with, but she loved him anyway! I think the fact that she loved him even though he made mistakes was the reason I loved the story so much!
