About this ebook
This “sharp, funny satire” (Us Weekly) from the authors of the #1 New York times bestseller The Nanny Diaries explores the ups and downs of being a young woman in the workplace.
Working in a world where a college degree qualifies her to make photocopies and color-coordinate file folders, twenty-four-year-old Girl is struggling to keep up with the essential trinity of food, shelter, and student loans. So, when she finally lands the job of her dreams, she ignores her misgivings and concentrates on getting the job done...whatever that may be.
“Witty and biting” (Publishers Weekly) Citizen Girl accurately captures what it means to be young and female in the new economy.

Girl is a twenty-something woman struggling to find her niche in NYC. Girl or G, like most young professionals, struggles to navigate the not-my-first-or-second-choice job. What started out as an intersting take in her journey falls flat, with horrible characters, and a frustrating protagonist. I wanted more from this novel, especially a better (more cohesive) ending. An easy read that has you rooting for the main character, yet makes you roll your eyes at said person midway through.
