About this ebook

Everybody in Bayou Mambaloa knows Danny French—the little redhead slinging beer at the Crawdad Hole who floored a three-hundred-pound man for pinching her. Feisty, they say. Must’ve taken a self-defense class. Nobody knows about the Ranger tab hidden under a coffee can. Or the man who drugged and assaulted her the night she celebrated earning it. She never saw his face. But she’d know his voice anywhere.

Danny left the Army for the bayou. She hasn’t stopped wanting justice—or fearing what her attacker might do to her only family.

Jacques Jardine knows Danny can handle herself. Getting her to let him stand beside her is another matter. But as threats turn deadly, the former warrior becomes the one man she dares to trust—and the one she could lose her heart to.

With Jacques and his Brotherhood Protectors team at her back, Danny is ready to fight. But the man hunting her has everything to lose—and no intention of letting her live to name him.
