Sanctification by Faith

A Christ-follower for over 45 years, who found herself in deep water, where she only could find comfort, solace, wisdom, and direction by hearing the Shepherd's voice alone, and totally depending on Him to guide her in each step. The Word of God is totally dependable when traditional religion leaves one dry, without direction! So...the wisdom I have received, and attempt to impart, is based on the Holy Spirit guiding me through the Word, without much support from the conglomerate wisdom of contemporary Christianity, which can be too constrictive for individual circumstances outside the norms of traditional Christianity. Sometimes I feel that religion, no matter what type, can impose rules that are too restricting. Jesus was always upsetting the norms of the "religious" and their stereotypes of what doing God's will truly entailed. "Belief" leads to a comfortable certainty, whereas "faith" keeps us in uncharted waters, where only a continual reliance on a Faithful Lord can guide us! We all do need support, and I am not promoting a go-it-alone philosophy, but our Christians friends and mentors will not be standing beside us when we stand before the Lord to give an account. Only the Lord knows the circumstances that He chooses and ordains for each of us to bring us to completion in Christ Jesus! May we be found faithful!
