Night and the Jade Goddess: A Vampire Fantasy Adventure

An ancient earth vampire wakes in modern Mexico, and two treasure hunters with a knack for trouble are the only ones who can stop a war between worlds.

Gabriela Rodriguez just made the find of her life. When her team of human archaeologists discovers a priceless Mayan artifact in the Yucatán, they unknowingly dig up far more than a lost goddess. They wake an ancient vampire who could tear apart Mexico City's carefully balanced immortal world.

Ben and Tenzin are wind vampires who've built a reputation unearthing immortal society's most hidden treasures. He's deliberate, patient, and precise. She's a five-thousand-year-old former assassin still adjusting to a world with rules she never agreed to. They've worked in royal courts, outwitted ancient scholars, and gathered more than a few enemies along the way.

Mexico City's vampires may be cautiously welcoming to the duo with a dark reputation, but in a city built on Aztec-era loyalties, newcomers must walk a tightrope before they're trusted. Tenzin isn't built for treading lightly when she can simply fly.

Now a young human archeologist is running for her life, and the immortals who once eyed Ben and Tenzin with suspicion need their help instead. An ancient is loose in modern Mexico, and tracking her bloody footprints might expose a secret world to lethal light.

Night and the Jade Goddess is a stand-alone novel in the Night Legacy Series by Elizabeth Hunter, eleven-time USA Today bestselling author of the Elemental Mysteries, the Irin Chronicles, and the Shadowlands series.
