Drew Dernavich is publicly known as a cartoonist for the New Yorker (and other publications), and this practice of graphic note-taking has been his main profession for over 20 years. He has illustrated the career stories of candy executives at Mars and storyboarded a breakthrough project with Amazon Web Services for a fertility treatment campaign. He has done similar work with organizations of every size and in every industry: Google, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, the United Nations, Ernst & Young, and NYU, among others. When his church became livestream-only during the pandemic, he took notes on the weekly sermons as a way to keep the congregation connected and engaged. Drew is a regular cartoonist for The New Yorker magazine, having published hundreds of cartoons there over the past few decades, and he has previously written and illustrated monthly columns for Esquire and The Awl. He is also the author and illustrator of two children's books. His most recent, Elvin Link, Please Report to the Principal's Office, was chosen as a Junior Library Guild selection and Amazon Editor's Pick.
