A student of Emergency Management, I thought I would check out books of some of the top people in the industry. Quarantelli was my end goal, but I came upon this book by Doug Lennox and was curious. When I bought the book, I was in the middle of reading a book by Denis Meliti. I did not return to my reading until I finished Doug's book. I found it interesting, informative, and easy to read. I recommend this book for others studying EM. It brings to light some disasters not taught about or thought of in university. My only issue with this book is that I couldn't complete the last page as the flashing prompt to write a review prohibited me from reading the last couple of paragraphs. Cheers! Abby J.
