I read books 1 to 3. I read all three hoping over time the story would get more interesting, but no. The storyline is just okay. The writing could be better. Not a lot of imagination went into character development. I mean, fashioning aliens out of common Earth animals or movie, TV, comic book characters? And a nanite monster? Really? That's been done so many times before. Still, the most disappointing thing was in book 3, when they finally got to Earth it turned into yet another "climate change" and humans are "killing the planet" scenario. Boring and completely unrealistic. We humans are so arrogant that we think we're even remotely capable of destroying the Earth? We aren't. We could destroy ourselves perhaps, but not the planet. It would live. We would die. But more likely from war than so-called "climate change." If there's a book 4... I think I'll skip it.

Other than not being well proofed. The third and 'final' part leaves many questions to be answered. It seems rather rushed with an ending that doesn't explain why they ended up where they did. Not quite a 'and he woke up!", but not far off. A shame, as I was looking forward to the ending, as the creativity in the initial two books was good.

It seemed rushed and not a fitting end to the story line. Too many aspects left up in the air. Still, fun to read. I can see a continuation story in the future.
