About this ebook

Most claims of Native American ancestry rest on the mother's ethnicity. This can be verified by a DNA test determining what type of mitochondrial DNA she passed to you. A hundred participants in DNA Consultants multi-phase Cherokee DNA Study did just that. What they had in common is they were previously rejected--by commercial firms, genealogy groups, government agencies and tribes. Their mitochondrial DNA was not classified as Native American. These are the "anomalous" Cherokee. Share the journeys of discovery and self-awareness of these passionate volunteers who defied the experts and are helping write a new chapter in the Peopling of the Americas. "The Yateses' DNA findings are revolutionary." --Stephen C. Jett, Atlantic Ocean Crossings. "Monumental."--Richard L. Thornton, Apalache Foundation.

Totally inaccurate, and not true. Cherokee ancestry can not be found m By DNA. No legitimate tribe will even accept DNA as proof. Only actual documentation. DNA is not advanced enough to even tell you what tribe. All NA means on a DNA test is your ancestors are from top of Canada to tip of South American. If this was accurate then legitimate tribes would use it. But it is not. Just try using DNA to get Cherokee citizenship you will be laughed at. Nothing but a waste of money.

This book is not intended to imply you can get enrolled by DNA outcomes. It is a good book written about a DNA study... Finding the Native American person or persons that you’ve heard where your ancestors are more often than not very hard to find proof of in your family tree. The government officials that organized and took the all mighty rolls censuses did a terrible job. Their where tons of native Americans who did not get on a rolls. Some hid in the mountains so they wouldn’t have to move to Oklahoma or For instance- their are many Cherokee that tried to enroll back then but where rejected. Some of them rejected for not having proof they where Cherokee.. just their word was not enough and all these many years later,,,the many many descendants of the same rejected enrollees are now showing Native American in their DNA tests. This an example of what a DNA test can do to help get the answers to your family history- not to try to enroll...DNA is a great tool to help and this book is a great example.
